Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Up to £42,000 Company Car Benefits Derby Full-time Permanent We're working with a major player in the UK infrastructure industry to recruit a proactive and commercially savvy Quantity Surveyor. The Role You'll be part of a dynamic and supportive commercial team, working across projects to ensure robust cost management and contractual compliance. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of NEC contracts, who has current experience with final accounts and enjoys mentoring junior team members. Key Responsibilities ·Prepare, manage, and process financial/project documentation and records ·Carry out cost analysis and provide detailed monthly cost/value reconciliations (CVRs) ·Lead and support in the agreement of final accounts with clients and supply chain partners ·Conduct site visits to carry out inspections and liaise with delivery teams ·Work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams ·Provide guidance and support to junior commercial staff, promoting team development ·Ensure commercial and contractual compliance in line with NEC contract suite ·Assist with pricing, forecasting, and reporting across multiple live schemes ·Attend client and site meetings as needed What We're Looking For ·Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or strong Assistant QS looking to step up ·Solid understanding and hands-on experience with NEC contracts ·Confident in supporting/mentoring others in the team ·Demonstrable experience in agreeing and finalising accounts ·Excellent reporting, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills ·Full UK driving licence (site visits required) What's On Offer ·Up to £42,000 salary (depending on experience) ·Company car ·25 days annual leave bank holidays ·Performance-based bonus scheme ·Enhanced family-friendly leave ·Cycle to Work scheme, Birthday bonus ·Life assurance and Employee Assistance Programme ·Company-wide social events and volunteering opportunities ·Clear progression and tailored learning & development support Apply Now If you're a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor with NEC contract knowledge and a passion for mentoring others, we'd love to speak with you.
