Working Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (day shift pattern) Job Description: We are seeking a quality engineer to support the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions on site. As a quality engineer, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance quality systems, supporting both internal processes and external customer requirements. Key responsibilities for the quality engineer include: * Maintaining the site calibration system to ensure all equipment remains compliant * Managing document control to ensure up-to-date customer data is used * Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for internal and external issues * Performing inspection tasks and completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) * Generating and deploying visual performance metrics for quality * Supporting internal and customer audits to meet regulatory standards * Ensuring the Quality Management System remains compliant and current * Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in all quality-related activities Skills & experience: To be successful in this quality engineer role, you should bring: * Experience in manufacturing quality, ideally in aerospace, fabrication, or machining * Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques * Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality management systems * Understanding of root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5-Why * Familiarity with quality tools like APQP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans * Internal auditing experience and strong project management capabilities * Strong interpersonal and influencing skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis Why Should You Apply? * Be part of a respected and growing aerospace manufacturer * Gain exposure to exciting engineering projects and customer accounts * Supportive environment with annual appraisals and personal development plans * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package * Ideal opportunity for an ambitious quality engineer ready to take the next step in their career
