PE Cover Supervisor

Full-Time PE Cover Supervisor Location: North Derbyshire Chesterfield Start Date: As soon as possible Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Full-Time (Ongoing) Setting: Secondary School A dynamic and supportive secondary school in South Derbyshire is seeking an experienced and confident PE Cover Supervisor to join their team immediately. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with a strong background in Physical Education and proven experience as a Cover Supervisor. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning. The Role: Deliver PE lessons and cover general classes when required Supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher Support the delivery of the PE curriculum at KS3 and KS4 level Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Has prior experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school Has a background in PE or sports coaching, and is confident delivering PE lessons Is a strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management skills Is reliable, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied and active role in a welcoming school with a strong team ethos.
