Teaching Assistant - Specialist Education - Alfreton, DE55 Position: Teaching Assistant Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire (DE55) Start Date: As soon as possible Salary: £90-£100 per day Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? Long Term Futures are looking for a committed and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Alfreton. You'll be working with pupils aged 2 to 19 who have complex learning difficulties, including autism and other developmental needs. This role involves working closely with teachers and therapists to help students achieve their individual learning goals in a safe, engaging environment. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in delivering tailored learning plans to meet individual pupil needs * Provide social and emotional support to pupils throughout the school day * Use communication tools such as PECS and Makaton effectively * Support the wider teaching team and contribute to a positive classroom environment * Promote inclusion and ensure a safe and supportive setting for all pupils About the School: Our partner school is a well-regarded special school known for its holistic and inclusive approach to education. Staff work collaboratively to support pupils' academic, emotional, and physical development, creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
