Quantity Surveyor – Roofing & Cladding (Permanent) Location: Hamilton, South Lanarkshire Salary: Competitive Start Date: ASAP The Opportunity: The EDM group are working with a well-established subcontractor based in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Specialising in roofing and cladding, our partner delivers high-quality packages for Tier One main contractors across commercial and industrial projects. The Role: As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, from contract review to final account. You will play a key role in ensuring financial efficiency, compliance, and successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Review and negotiate subcontract and main contracts • Manage project costs and valuations • Prepare and submit applications for payment • Monitor variations and manage change control • Liaise with site teams, clients, and main contractors • Prepare final accounts and reporting Requirements: • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in roofing and cladding ideal but not essential • Strong understanding of subcontractor operations and Tier One contractor expectations • Confident in reviewing and interpreting contracts • Excellent negotiation and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously What’s on Offer: • Permanent role with a stable and reputable subcontractor • Competitive salary and package • Opportunity to work on high-profile projects across Scotland
