Setting Out Engineer

Brownlee Cale are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer for a client specialising in fit-out/ interior construction in West Cumbria. Key Responsibilities: * Interpret construction drawings and set out works on-site with precision (including partitioning and penetrations). * Establish site control and coordinate points using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment. * Ensure all setting out is accurate and aligned with the project plans and engineering designs. * Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve any technical issues. * Monitor and report on site progress, highlighting discrepancies or design conflicts as needed. * Maintain accurate records of setting out work, including as-built surveys. Requirements: * Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field. * Proven experience in setting out on construction or civil engineering projects. * Proficient in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels. * Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications. * Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) * SC Clearance/ ability to achieve SC Note: * Higher rates paid for provision of kit and lodging (if not local to site) * A drugs and alcohol test is mandatory before starting the role Please contact Siobhan Davis at Brownlee Cale for more information
