Site Manager

New Site Manager position in Canterbury, Kent. Are you looking for the next step in your career? * Position: Site Manager * Start date: June 2025 * Contract type: Permanent * Location: Canterbury, Kent * Pay rate: £65,000 - £70,000 car allowance & competitive benefits package * Xenon Recruitment contact: Matt Jasper The company: An award winning national residential developer who have a strong presence across the Southern Home Counties. The project: A new residential development of 120x new homes. Consisting of houses and apartments which are a mixture of private and HA spec. The role: Reporting into a visiting Contracts Manager you will be responsible for overseeing this development as the number 1 on site. Your role will involve but not be limited to: * Management of the master build programme * Preparation of short term programmes * Weekly progress meetings with the site team and subcontractors * Progress reporting to the visiting Contracts Manager on a weekly basis * Pre-start meetings with the relevant subcontractors * Overseeing Health & Safety on site and production of relevant reports * Liaise regularly with external bodies regarding development including Building Control, HSE, Utilities and Service providers and NHBC * Responsible for quality control, ensuring all units are completed to the required standard prior to NHBC inspection About you: * You will have gained circa 5 years experience, ideally working for a Residential Developer * Have the correct CITB qualifications for the position (CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work) * Experience working on a similar scheme would be preferable, but not essential * Experience of controlling multiple subcontractor packages and direct labour * Strong organisational and time management skills
