Job Description

Job Title: Floor Layer (CSCS Required) Location: Retford, Nottinghamshire Pay Rate: £22 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 Contract Type: Temporary (Ongoing, with potential for extension) Start Date: Immediate Job Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Floor Layer to join our team, working on void properties in the Retford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking to work with a reputable company on a consistent, long-term contract. Key Responsibilities: Carry out all aspects of floor laying, including vinyl, cap and cove, safety flooring, and potentially carpet tiles or laminate as required Prepare surfaces by removing old flooring, cleaning, levelling, and priming subfloors Install various floor coverings to a high standard in kitchens, bathrooms, and other void property areas Conduct on-site assessments to determine material and labour requirements Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety standards Communicate effectively with site managers and other trades Maintain a clean and safe working environment Requirements: Proven experience as a floor layer (ideally 2 years) Must hold a valid CSCS card Ability to work independently and to a high standard Own tools and PPE Full UK driving licence preferred (but not essential) Experience working on void or social housing properties is advantageous Benefits: Competitive hourly rate of £22 Regular working hours, Monday to Friday Ongoing work with a trusted contractor Supportive site team and professional working environment How to Apply: Click the link below to apply or call the PSR Sheffield Trades Team on 0114
