Quantity Surveyor Location: London Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 Car Allowance Pension Life Assurance Annual Leave Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading Groundworks and RC Frame subcontractor, established over 30 years ago, to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and long-standing business with a strong pipeline of work across London. The company specialises in groundwork packages including earthworks, bulk excavation, and infrastructure schemes, with a client base built on decades of trusted relationships-particularly within the residential sector and would be looking for an mid-level Quantity Surveyor with similar experience. Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple live projects. You'll play a key role in cost control, procurement, and commercial reporting, ensuring profitability and compliance across all stages of project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all commercial aspects of allocated groundworks and RC frame projects Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports, and final accounts Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting Procure subcontractor packages and manage ongoing commercial relationships Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle Attend progress and client meetings as required Skills & Experience Required: 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying within groundworks, RC frame, or infrastructure sectors Strong contractual and commercial knowledge (NEC, JCT etc.) Background working with either main or subcontractors Excellent negotiation and communication skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail Self-driven and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously Benefits Package: Salary range: £70,000 - £90,000 (depending on experience) Car allowance Pension scheme Life assurance Generous annual leaveIf you're a skilled Quantity Surveyor looking to join a respected subcontractor with a stable workload and great reputation, apply now or contact George Kuderovitch at Fawkes & Reece on (phone number removed) for more information
