If youre ready to dream big, embrace challenges, and make an impact, join us and help shape the future of beauty Position : Senior Software Engineer About the Role : As a Senior Software Engineer at Avataar Skincare, you will own the end-to-end development and maintenance of our consumer and enterprise platforms, ensuring a flawless experience on PC, mobile web, and native Android/iOS apps. You will work closely with the founders office to define the technical roadmap, mentor a growing team of engineers, and drive architectural and process improvements that scale with our rapid growth. Key Responsibilities : Platform Ownership : - Lead development and enhancement of the Next.js frontend and NestJS backend for our customer-facing website - Architect, build, and optimize React Native apps for Android and iOS, delivering performant, user-friendly experiences. Enterprise & Operations : - Oversee our ReactJS/Node.jsExpressJS dashboard for operations and analytics. - Enhance the scheduling microservice (Node.js Express) to optimize resource allocation (machines & therapists). - Collaborate on the Java-based routing algorithm (PostgreSQL) to recommend the best-matched therapist. Data & Infrastructure : - Manage a shared MySQL database schema, ensuring data integrity, performance, and growth. - Design and maintain AWS deployments (EC2, RDS, S3) Leadership & Mentorship : - Partner with the founders to plan the 6- to 12-month technology roadmap, translating business goals into technical delivery plans. - Guide, review, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions. - Establish best practices for coding standards, testing, documentation, and agile processes. Qualifications : - 5 years of professional experience in full-stack web development, with demonstrable proficiency in : 1. Frontend : Next.js, React.js, React Native 2. Backend : NestJS, Node.js Express.js, Java (Spring or equivalent) 3. Databases : MySQL, PostgreSQL 4. Cloud & DevOps : AWS services - Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems. - Proven track record of owning and shipping production-grade software with high availability and scalability. - Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical debt and rapid feature delivery. - Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams, performing design/code reviews, and driving cross-functional collaboration. - Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders. Preferred Skills : - Experience with AI/ML-driven applications or image processing pipelines. - Familiarity with real-time scheduling or recommendation systems. - Knowledge of mobile performance optimization and offline-first architectures.
