Practice Accountant Location: Seaford, East Sussex Salary: £28,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications) Contract: Full-time, permanent A well-regarded accountancy firm in Seaford is seeking a proactive and technically strong Accountant to join their growing practice. This is an ideal role for a part-qualified, qualified, or QBE professional looking to take the next step in a varied and client-facing position. Key Responsibilities: Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Managing and reviewing VAT returns, bookkeeping records, and management accounts Handling client queries and building trusted long-term relationships Assisting with tax computations and submissions (corporation and personal tax) Supervising junior staff and reviewing work where required What We’re Looking For: Practice experience is essential—ideally 3 years in a UK accountancy firm ACCA/ACA part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax principles Skilled in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage your own portfolio Benefits: Competitive salary with scope for progression Supportive and flexible working environment Ongoing training and CPD opportunities A genuinely down-to-earth and welcoming team culture
