Legal Manager - Electricity Transmission Infrastructure Operator - London / Hybrid Client Details Our Client is the Owner / Operator of Electricity Transmission Infrastructure which is key in the UK and EU's Energy ecosystem Description Your overarching objective will be to support the business through development and negotiation of key contracts to minimise risk and maximise value in a timely and efficient manner. In doing so you will interact with and manage industry regulators, governments, European Commission, industry associations, suppliers, shareholders, other energy companies and law firms. You will be responsible for a broad range of legal matters including but not limited to: Coordinating legal aspects of development of projects: lease negotiation, transmission/local network connection agreements, fuel supply agreements, equipment procurement agreements, energy off-take agreements, construction management agreements, PPAs, legal structuring and negotiations with clients; Managing legal aspects of financing, joint ventures and acquisitions: Negotiating, drafting and reviewing documents, instructing external solicitors and other advisors and reviewing their work, compiling answers to due diligence questions. Profile The successful candidate should be a qualified Lawyer, with a strong corporate background with at least 5 years experience working as a Legal Counsel within a large company or law firm. Expertise gained via working within utilities/power, construction/civil engineering businesses would be looked upon favourably.
