KS2/KS3 Nurture Teacher Annual Salary: MPS Location: West Surrey Job Type: Part-time (2-year contract starting September 2025) We are seeking a KS2/KS3 Nurture Teacher for a part-time role in a secondary school. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the dynamics of a class teacher but is looking for a new challenge, possibly with experience in an SEN environment. The role involves bridging the gap for students and may include some specialist teaching, such as PE or Maths. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of KS2 and KS3 students in a nurture group setting. Implement strategies to support students with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate lessons that integrate specialist subjects as required. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their individual needs and abilities. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to engage in learning and develop positive behaviours. Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student development and wellbeing. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience in teaching KS2 and KS3 students, with a strong understanding of the curriculum and pedagogical approaches. Experience or strong interest in working within an SEN setting or with nurture groups. Ability to teach a specialist subject (e.g., PE, Maths) is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of diverse learners.
