Health & Safety Manager (Maternity Cover) | York Travel to Sites Fixed-Term Contract | £34,363.00 - £37,533.00 per annum Full-time | Maternity Cover (Fixed Term) Based at Askham Bryan College, York We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave – and help keep our staff, students and visitors safe and sound across our beautiful land-based college sites ️ You’ll lead on all aspects of health and safety – from risk assessments and training to fire safety and accident investigations. You’ll be a trusted advisor to colleagues, helping everyone stay up to date and compliant in a supportive, approachable way. What we’re looking for: ✅ NEBOSH qualified (essential) ✅ Confident in legislation, risk management, and reporting ✅ Excellent communication and organisation skills ✅ Able to train and influence across all levels ✅ Calm, reliable, and ready to roll up your sleeves You’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – as travel between sites is part of the role.
