Job Description

Job Title: X-Ray Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: South Carolina license required prior to start Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: Radiation badge provided by agency Experience with C-arm Orientation hours: 16 Description: This position is for an X-Ray Tech specializing in pediatrics. The daily caseload per tech varies. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM. This role does not require on-call duties. The clinician may be required to float to other buildings on the same campus as needed. Floating to pediatric imaging locations may be required for critical coverage. One year of experience is required, and first-timers are accepted. Experience in operating rooms is required, and additional training will be available. O-arm experience is preferred, and training will also be provided. Experience with trauma cases is preferred but not mandatory. A radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency. The facility allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. During this season, employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should avoid confirming new assignments during hurricane season. Modules for training are non-billable, with an average of 4 hours spent on them. Module completion is included in non-billable hours prior to starting.
