Lead Commercial Plumbing Mechanic

Job Description Job Description LEAD COMMERCIAL PLUMBING MECHANIC WANTED Large Mechanical contractor with locations in Bergen and Essex counties is seeking a qualified commercial plumbing mechanic. We do service work, renovations, boilers, heating, and all types of plumbing alterations. We do not do new development. We are looking for a mechanic who was on mainly service calls and renovations. Responsibilities: I nstall, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. Knowledge in Victaulic, Roll Groove, Mechanical joint, PVC, Pex and copper pipe piping and fittings. Review blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures. Prepare written work tickets and estimates. Adhere to safety policies and procedures. Keep office up to date with change orders. Able to run crews of 2 to 4 men. Good communication skills and problem solving abilities. Weekends and nights a must. Requirements: Previous experience in plumbing of at least 6 years as a commercial plumbing mechanic. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Ability to handle physical workload. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High school diploma. Clean driving record. Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
