Job Title: PeopleSoft Developer (Oracle) Location: Bangalore and Chennai (WFO/Hybrid) Experience: 5 Years Employment Type: Contract (12 Months) Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled PeopleSoft Developer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM 9.x modules and PeopleTools 8.5x, along with strong technical expertise in development and customization of PeopleSoft applications. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts and functional stakeholders to design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions that align with business requirements. This position is based in Bangalore or Chennai, with a work-from-office or hybrid setup, and offers a contractual engagement for 12 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs. Key Responsibilities : - Participate in requirements gathering and definition sessions to understand the business objectives, challenges, and functional goals. - Collaborate with Business Analysts and functional teams to translate business needs into effective technical designs and solutions. - Conduct feasibility analysis and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate. - Design, develop, test, and implement complex components and enhancements using PeopleTools (8.5x) including: - PeopleCode - Application Engine - Component Interfaces - SQR - Integration Broker - BI Publisher - Work on FLUID UI development, CSS customizations, and responsive design enhancements within the PeopleSoft framework. - Create and maintain clear, accurate, and complete documentation of technical specifications, design documents, and system architecture. - Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to development standards, design guidelines, and best practices. - Define and execute unit testing, support QA with integration/system testing, and troubleshoot defects through root cause analysis. - Support data analysis and SQL scripting for reporting, debugging, and validation. - Use tools like STAT for version control, migration, and auditing of PeopleSoft objects. - Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and provide production support and maintenance for deployed solutions. - Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall). - Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and sharing knowledge across the team. - Manage time effectively, juggle multiple priorities, and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks and milestones. Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as a PeopleSoft Developer. - Strong functional knowledge in PeopleSoft HCM 9.x modules such as: - Core HR - Payroll - Benefits - Absence Management - Self-Service - Proven experience working with Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.5x. - Hands-on experience with PeopleCode, App Engine, CI, SQR, Integration Broker, and BI Publisher. - Prior experience in PeopleSoft implementation, upgrade, or support projects. - Proficiency in SQL and relational databases. - Experience working with tools like STAT, Phire, or other version control/change management systems. - Exposure to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best practices in software development. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. - Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments efficiently. Nice to Have: - Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security, workflow, and approval frameworks. - Familiarity with cloud migration strategies or PeopleSoft to Oracle Cloud transition projects. - Experience working with global or large-scale enterprise HR systems.
