Engineering Manager - MERN Stack

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager with deep expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js ) and hands-on experience in leading pod-based agile teams. You will be responsible for driving engineering excellence, delivering scalable web applications, and mentoring a team of developers in a collaborative, fast-paced : - Lead and manage cross-functional pods comprising frontend, backend, and QA engineers. - Architect, design, and implement scalable applications using the MERN stack. - Oversee code quality, engineering processes, and best development practices. - Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and DevOps to deliver product features. - Ensure on-time delivery of projects by mentoring team members and unblocking challenges. - Conduct regular 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and professional development for team members. - Implement agile methodologies with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery. - Define and monitor engineering KPIs, ensuring a high level of technical : - 6 years of software development experience, with strong proficiency in React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB. - 2 years of proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead. - Experience managing pods or small, autonomous teams within an agile framework. - Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and scalable architecture. - Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes is a plus). - Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills. Preferred Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Experience in a startup or high-growth environment. - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Familiarity with performance tuning and security best practices.
