We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Viareggio, Italy . Position Overview The project manager oversees refits and new build projects, acting as the owner’s technical expert and representative. They will provide the owner with technical advice, assist in negotiations, and offer regular feedback to the owner and Fraser’s technical manager. The Project Manager ensures the project complies with all contractual elements, technical specifications, progress milestones, and quality standards on board. Key Duties and Responsibilities Act as the owner’s representative for new build or refit projects, liaising with shipyards, designers, contractors, and classification societies. Monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual specifications, industry regulations, and quality standards. Oversee detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment. Lead the project management team, including interior project managers, engineers, surveyors, consultants, and experts. Regularly report to clients on project status, risks, and milestones. Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control assessments. Manage changes in project scope, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Attend FAT, HAT, SAT, lead delivery procedures, and final acceptance processes. Skills/Requirements Proven experience in project management within the yachting or maritime sector (minimum 5 years preferred). Strong knowledge of superyacht construction, engineering systems, and regulatory compliance. Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field is advantageous. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
