Contracts/Fidic Engineer

Duties: Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tendering activities. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements. Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate costs. Develop and implement best practices and cost-control measures for estimating. Present estimates and tender submissions to senior management and stakeholders. Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and innovations in construction methods. Mentor and train Junior Estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Requirements: Civil or Quantity Surveying Degree Professional Registration Proven experience as an Estimating/ Contracts Manager or Senior Estimator within the construction industry . Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar tools). Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
