Job Description
Full-time, Permante, with Flexable hours Sherbrooke O.E.M Ltd, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Together, we design and build large recycling systems that feature our patented Optical and Robotic AI advanced technologies. As a growing company we need individuals who are hands-on and looking to grow along with our company which is expanding quickly. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is a self-starter, thinks creatively, and consistently brings a standard of excellence. Roles & Responsibilities: Perform detailed design recycling system equipment and supporting structures, working closely in collaboration with the sales and engineering teams Create engineering drawings for manufacturing, field installation and documentation Specify components in order to create Bill of Materials Work closely with purchasing to ensure components arrive correctly and on schedule Manage projects as they travel through the manufacturing process on the production floor and field commissioning Document and educate team members on standardized procedures and best practices Identify and lead process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency in our manufacturing and engineering tasks Seek out and implement cost reductions across the board, and develop relationships with suppliers Contribute to an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, high performance, and outstanding quality in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Competitive pay Health insurance Long-Term Disability insurance Life & Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance Voluntary retirement savings plan (VRSP) - With employor contribution Positive and friendly work environment Desired Qualifications: BAC in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Experience working and designing with 3D modeling software is preferred Experience working in a Design and/or Electrical Engineering role is a plus Knowledge of various manufacturing/machining processes including, sheet metal bending, punching, and welding Experience in designing recycling equipment and/or conveyor systems is a plus Experience in integrating mechanical component requirements Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, self-identify problems and consistently meet deadlines Bilingual (Required to be able to speak in English) Willingness to tackle new or challenging tasks
