Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our industry leading manufacturing client with their search for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. Key Duties: Reporting to the Design Manager in a busy design office, working within the engineering team. Responsible for aspects of the design from conception to sign off and be heavily involved in the layouts, associated calculations for verification and detailed design. Responsible for managing the implementation of innovative solutions & design changes. Working within a small team, you will be expected to use own initiative to deliver projects within specification and on time. Key Requirements: Educated to degree level or higher, you will be a self motivated and task orientated Engineer used to working within a small to medium sized business unit. Good working knowledge of basic engineering principles and preferably have at least 5 years experience in bulk materials handling, conveyors systems and structural steel. Experience of working with engineering standards would be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will have Inventor and Vault experience as well as Microsoft Project. Must have an organised and methodical approach to the work-load, have an aptitude to processing procedural work i.e. NCR's ECR's etc. An understanding of FEA, DFM would be desirable. The Package: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience. Office based role, Monday - Friday. Occasional travel overseas. Company pension scheme. Profit related bonus scheme.
