Chief Accountant

Job Title: Chief Accountant Location: Pombia, Piedmont, Italy Duration: Fulltime/Permanent Responsibilities: Supervise and manage general accounting functions, including but not limited to: accounts receivable, accounts payable, ledger, Fixed assets and taxes; Management of extra-accounting entries at the end of the month and the end of the year for reporting; Ensure the correct application of group accounting standards; Control and preparation of the group's separate and consolidated financial statements; Preparation of reports to be sent to the lending banks; Management of cash flow, relations with banks, optimization of financial flows between subsidiaries; Obligations related to the Service Facility Agreement; Ensure that collections and payments are made in line with the Delegation of Authority; Preparatory activities relating to the Transfer Pricing and Cost Sharing Agreement (i.e. National Documentation, Masterfile and CbCR) as well as any intercompany contracts; Management of corporate aspects, updating of corporate books (minutes of the Board of Directors, Shareholders' Meetings, Board of Statutory Auditors and Shareholders' Register); Preparatory activities for the calculation of year-end taxes; Preparation of the UNICO and IRAP form; Management of VAT registers, withholding taxes of professionals and settlements; Management of interim and year-end audits of auditors, and relations with external company consultants. Qualifications: Experience managing statutory accounting, tax compliance, and VAT in Italy. Experience closing monthly accounts quickly, overseeing group reporting, and managing cash operations. Fluent in spoken and written in English. Bachelors Degree in business administration/accounting. Familiarity with transitioning from Italian GAAP to International Accounting Standards (IFRS). Manufacturing/industrial background preferred.
