This individual will guide their team to provide effective procurement solutions and achieve key performance indicators that contribute to regional procurement and local operational FC goals. They will collaborate with key site and regional operational and support leaders to drive procurement initiatives. Key job responsibilities Hire and develop a strong team capable of delivering procurement solutions and scaling with network demands on a long-term basis. Lead the team to develop and manage a reliable, cost-effective, and high-performing supply chain for locally managed goods and services. Ensure network-wide standardization of all procurement-related processes and service activities across Amazon locations. Partner with internal customers to influence spending decisions positively. Lead sourcing engagements and teams, identifying new opportunities and RFXs as appropriate. Analyze opportunities to leverage and rationalize the supply base using analytical tools and techniques. Implement supplier agreements and contracts by working with stakeholders and suppliers to finalize terms and conditions. Participate in setting up local suppliers and services for new Amazon sites, including securing long lead-time capital purchases and establishing multi-year contracts. Ensure 100% compliance with policies and procedures in collaboration with operations partners. Drive the elimination of waste within procurement processes to establish best practices across the network. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or equivalent. Relevant sourcing experience. Previous management experience. Motivation to learn, develop, and perform in a fast-paced environment. Proven project management skills. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, Coupa, SAP). Microsoft Excel skills and willingness to learn proprietary systems. Experience creating metrics and presenting data. Proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree such as a Master’s in Procurement.
