Job Description: Summary: In this role, you will ensure network availability and scalability to meet individual requirements. You will contribute to Huber's network strategy, consulting and supporting IT teams and business units on all network-related initiatives and projects. Acting as a network technology representative, you will guide stakeholders to design requirements aligned with global technology strategies and work closely with engineering teams to ensure projects meet network standards. You will also be part of Huber's 2nd Level Support and escalation process, focusing on network technologies. Main Responsibilities: Deliver world-class network service to leverage latest technologies, aligning with industry best practices. Focus on maintaining a high-availability network infrastructure, especially in manufacturing environments, with a good understanding of IT/OT services. Manage the lifecycle of Huber standard equipment, maintaining valid service contracts, and planning replacements based on manufacturer and company guidelines. Conduct ongoing demand analysis and implement network improvement initiatives. Optimize, manage, and troubleshoot network components including LAN (Cisco and Meraki), Wireless LAN, Firewalls (Fortinet), and Data connections (MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN). Plan, present, and process network infrastructure initiatives. Maintain and implement new network standards and processes. Participate in the development and operation of cloud network connectivity architecture. Research, analyze, recommend, and select technical solutions for complex development and integration challenges. Manage medium-sized local network projects. Document changes, architecture, and problems. Ensure network availability and reliability. Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in migrating and deploying standard solutions at production level. At least 5 years of experience with Meraki/Cisco technologies, including switching, routing, firewall management, TCP/IP networking, VLAN, LAN/Wireless LAN, and troubleshooting spanning tree issues. At least 3 years of experience designing high-availability network architectures. Experience in designing, planning, and implementing LAN and wireless networks (IEEE 802.11). Ability to perform wireless surveys, create heatmaps, and simulations using tools like Ekahau or open-source alternatives. Support experience with network equipment including switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP. Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki switching features and network protocols. Proficiency with addressing mechanisms and Layer 1 technologies like fiber optics. Skills in packet analysis and troubleshooting with tools like Wireshark. Deep understanding of cabling technologies. Knowledge of Meraki/Cisco product features, including disaster recovery and IoT management. Understanding of ITIL change and configuration management processes. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and crisis management skills. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian or German is a plus. Willingness to travel internationally.
