Network Security Engineer (Contract)

Responsibilities Design and implement network security solutions and provide ongoing support for operational integration. Lead the infrastructure team in managing global and regional network and security projects, operations, and escalations. Deploy Checkpoint Security Gateway and manage servers, troubleshoot issues and verify configuration changes. Implement network security through ASA, and Fortinet Firewalls, including configuring deep packet inspection, failover, SLA monitoring, interface redundancy, and translations. Perform remote firewall upgrades. Analyze security requirements and design secure cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, and OCI services. Develop strategies for vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response in cloud-based systems. Expertise in deploying and troubleshooting various types of VPNs, including Site-to-Site IPSec VPN, GRE over IPSec, and Remote VPN, across different vendors. Deploy and manage threat detection and prevention measures by implementing and monitoring IDS/IPS systems. Prepare technical proposals, communicate with vendors, review Bills of Materials, and support in Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. Requirements: Minimum 8 years of working experience in Network and Security with 5 years in L3 Support. Advanced knowledge of network technologies and products, including Cisco routers and switches, Nexus, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower, ASA, F5 load balancers, and Fortinet Firewalls; IPSec VPN, and Remote VPN. Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models. Possess strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and OCI. Proficient in deploying RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, configuring route redistribution, and using route filtering techniques. Experience in configuring routers, switches technologies such as STP, RSTP, MST, Ether Channels, Switch Security, and VLAN Access Maps in LAN environments. Experience with cloud proxies, such as MWG and Netskope, and Bluecoat proxy or reverse proxy solutions. Relevant certifications such as CCNP or higher.
