Tax Officer / Tax Manager Location: Mannheim Our client is seeking a skilled Tax Officer to oversee national and international tax compliance. This role involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations, managing VAT matters, supporting tax audits, and contributing to process improvements within a global organisation. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain tax compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to national and international tax regulations. Support the implementation of global minimum tax (Pillar II) compliance. Provide guidance on VAT matters and corporate tax implications. Review and adapt to tax law changes, ensuring timely implementation. Support tax audits, administrative proceedings, and liaise with external tax advisors and authorities. Manage tax-related documentation, including records, contracts, and policies. Contribute to tax planning, restructuring projects, and intercompany tax matters. Identify and drive process improvements for efficiency and compliance. Your Profile: Fully qualified lawyer or degree in economics, business law, or a related field, with strong expertise in tax law. Several years of professional experience in tax compliance, ideally within financial services, corporate tax, or a law firm. In-depth knowledge of national and international tax laws, VAT regulations, and transfer pricing. Strong analytical skills, structured problem-solving approach, and ability to work independently.
