Join Surrey’s Adolescent Team , where you will work with young people at risk of harm, exploitation, or family breakdown , ensuring they receive the right support at the right time. About the Role As a Senior Social Worker in the Adolescent Team , you will work with vulnerable young people aged 11-18 , providing targeted interventions, safeguarding support, and relationship-based practice . You will play a crucial role in helping adolescents overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve positive outcomes . Key Responsibilities Work directly with adolescents who may be experiencing risk factors such as criminal or sexual exploitation, missing episodes, substance misuse, or family conflict . Undertake in-depth assessments and develop tailored care plans to meet the needs of young people. Collaborate with schools, police, health services, and youth workers to provide a coordinated approach to safeguarding and support. Lead on child protection planning , complex case management , and legal proceedings where required. Provide mentorship and supervision to less experienced social workers, promoting best practice in adolescent safeguarding. Use a trauma-informed and relationship-based approach to engage young people effectively. About You ? A qualified Social Worker , registered with Social Work England .? Significant experience in children’s social work, safeguarding, and working with adolescents at risk .? Strong knowledge of child exploitation, contextual safeguarding, and multi-agency working .? Excellent engagement and communication skills to build trust with young people.? Ability to handle complex caseloads and make sound safeguarding decisions under pressure.?
