Stock Controller (VW Experience)

We are hiring: Stock Controller (VW experience) in Pretoria, East: Please note: This position is in the motor industry, and only candidates with motor industry experience will be considered) Purpose of the role: To manage and control the movement, storage, and accuracy of motor vehicle parts, accessories, and consumables stock. The Stock Controller ensures optimum stock levels are maintained, losses are minimized, and accurate reporting is available to support sales and service operations. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate inventory records for motor parts and accessories. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts. Reconcile physical stock against system records and investigate variances. Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders to avoid overstocking or stock outs. Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock deliveries. Ensure correct binning, labeling, and storage of parts. Coordinate with service advisors, workshop staff, and sales teams for stock needs. Process stock transfers, returns, and adjustments in the system. Monitor stock aging and identify obsolete or slow-moving items. Enforce stock security and assist in loss prevention. Generate inventory reports and provide stock-related insights to management. Key Skills and Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good understanding of automotive parts and supply chain processes Computer literate (experience with inventory management systems, e.g., Kerridge, Automate, Autoline) Strong numerical and reconciliation skills Organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and under pressure Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 / Matric (minimum) Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management (advantageous) 23 years of stock control experience in the motor or automotive industry Knowledge of dealership operations and automotive parts catalogues Only candidates with the relevant experience will be contacted.
