Position Details: Location: near Sudbury Position: SENCO Hours: Full-time Salary: UPR and SEND Allowance (£2,679 - £5,285) depending on experience Contract: Permanent, starting September 2025 Key Responsibilities as a SENCO: Lead the provision for students with additional needs, ensuring they are fully included both educationally and pastorally. Support wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and academic progress for students, particularly during key transitions. Collaborate with staff and families to create joyful, inclusive educational experiences near Sudbury. Champion student voice and nurture a sense of belonging for every learner near Sudbury. Maintain high standards and drive improvements in SEND provision near Sudbury. Inspire a culture where every child feels celebrated and supported near Sudbury. SENCO Skills & Requirements: Experience of successful SEND leadership across Primary, Secondary, or Specialist settings. A strong communicator, passionate about inclusion and pastoral care. A creative and committed SENCO who can lead with empathy, energy, and warmth. Ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues near Sudbury. Resilient, enthusiastic, and determined to make a difference in every child's life near Sudbury. Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination or be willing to complete it.
