Data Management Manager (Investment & Wealth Management) London - Hybrid £80,000 - £94,000 A leading consulting firm is expanding its Data Management team within the Investment Management and Wealth sector. With over 150 professionals already embedded, the team is responding to growing client demand for stronger data foundations to enable future AI and automation initiatives. The Opportunity This role will oversee and deliver complex data management programs, and support clients modernising from traditional systems like Aladdin to newer platforms such as State Street Alpha, and must be comfortable navigating a range of vendor solutions. You will: Lead the end-to-end delivery of data platform implementation projects, from initial discovery and requirements gathering through to deployment and post-implementation support. This includes translating client needs into actionable project plans and ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders. Oversee and coordinate multiple workstreams, managing project timelines, resource allocation, and interdependencies to ensure delivery remains on track. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating risks, managing scope changes, and ensuring high-quality execution. Design and drive the implementation of data governance, integration frameworks, and reporting structures, ensuring these are robust, scalable, and aligned to both client business objectives and industry best practices. This may include establishing data ownership models, quality controls, and metadata strategies. Act as the main point of contact for senior client stakeholders, facilitating workshops, providing regular status updates, and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded. You'll play a critical role in building trust and long-term relationships with business and technical leaders. What You'll Need Strong background in investment management or wealth platforms, with a clear understanding of how data flows across the front, middle, and back office — particularly in relation to the trade life cycle, position reconciliation, and reference data management. Proven experience delivering complex data management or platform implementation programmes within financial services, either in-house or via consultancy. You should be confident managing cross-functional teams and aligning technical delivery with strategic business goals. Familiarity with key investment data platforms such as Aladdin, Charles River, Eagle, or MarketEDM. Experience with State Street Alpha is welcome, but not required — more important is the ability to quickly understand and adapt to a variety of platforms and data architectures. Hands-on delivery mindset — this role is not suitable for someone whose experience is limited to advisory or strategy work. We're looking for someone who has been actively involved in the execution and delivery of data systems and processes, even if now in a leadership capacity.
