Pre Construction Manager

Pre-Construction Manager - Hertfordshire - Water Utility Projects We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead the pre-construction phases of major water utility infrastructure projects. This is a critical role where your technical knowledge, leadership, and early-stage planning expertise will shape the success of complex, high-value civil engineering schemes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the pre-construction phase across multiple sites, working closely with internal teams and client representatives Define project scope, manage risks, and drive design development in alignment with budget and delivery goals Co-ordinate site investigations, surveys, and early planning consents Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements Manage the design process, including buildability, safety, and cost-efficiency Support tendering and bid processes by contributing commercial and technical insightWhat We're Looking For: Proven experience managing pre-construction phases within water utility or civil infrastructure projects Strong understanding of design coordination, risk management, and contract planning Background in Civil Engineering (HNC/Degree or equivalent) Confident in working with Primavera P6 or similar project planning software Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills Ability to challenge design and delivery proposals to drive optimal outcomesWhy Apply?
