Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role We’re seeking a commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced QS to take a leading role on a range of construction projects, working for a reputable main contractor. While experience in industrial units (warehousing, logistics hubs, etc.) is beneficial, it’s your sharp commercial acumen and proven track record in main contracting that really counts. Key Responsibilities * Manage the full commercial lifecycle of construction projects from tender through to final account * Oversee procurement, contract negotiation, and subcontractor management * Prepare and manage interim valuations, cost reporting, and forecasting * Handle change control, variations, and ensure contractual compliance * Provide commercial support to the site and project teams, acting as the key point of contact for cost-related matters * Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery * Contribute to value engineering and risk mitigation strategies * Mentor and support junior commercial staff as required What You’ll Bring * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor * Solid understanding of standard forms of contract (JCT, D&B) * Strong commercial and contractual knowledge * Excellent organisational, negotiation, and analytical skills * Proficient in cost reporting and managing complex packages * Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field * Nice to have: Experience working on industrial or logistics unit projects What’s on Offer * Competitive salary car/travel allowance bonus scheme * Opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and high-value projects * Supportive, team-oriented working culture * Strong pipeline of secured work and opportunities for progression * Professional development and training support
