Senior Electrical Engineer (Protection & Control)

The Opportunity Our clients UK Team is growing and they’re looking for Senior Electrical Engineers experienced Protection & Control / Secondary design to provide support to projects across their markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors. The role requires P&C engineering knowledge and skills, with proven experience in the design and specification of equipment used in electrical networks and renewable generation. To be the ideal candidate you will have strong experience in working with transmission voltages up to 400kV. Contract Estimated Duration – 12 months This role has been deemed inside of IR35 You will have the following qualifications and experience Knowledge of transmission (National Grid or SSE) HV design process and related project experience. Extensive experience in P&C FEED or detailed design of high voltage installations (132kV to 400kV). Experience designing the HV infrastructure across the full project lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design Undertake site visits / non-intrusive surveys as required as part of the design activities or as part of site support. Ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on the project. Identification, assessment, and adoption of the best technical solution. Risk and CDM management.
