Senior MEP Project Manager – Main Contractor £85,000 - £95,000 Car Allowance & Travel Paid Oxfordshire Permanent As the Senior MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) services across the project, ensuring outcomes align with defined timelines, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Operates as an integral member of the project team, leading the delivery of MEP systems during the construction phase, and reporting directly to the Project Lead. Oversees all aspects of on-site MEP construction, including programme delivery, site environment, safety and wellbeing, quality standards, and commissioning activities. Engages with all major stakeholders including clients, consultants, trade contractors, and internal leadership to maintain effective communication and coordination. Facilitates programme reviews with specialist contractors, tracking productivity, identifying challenges, managing inter-package coordination, and utilising digital tools to maintain project timelines. Ability to detect trends and critical risks to delivery is essential. Leads the quality assurance processes to ensure installations meet expected standards, holding contractors and consultants accountable to agreed procedures. Develops and implements delivery and phasing strategies, ensuring milestones, logistics, interfaces, and sequencing are clearly defined and achieved. Skills and Experience Required: In-depth understanding of a specific technical discipline (e.g., building services engineering), including installation, testing methods, prefabrication practices, and quality control. Foundational knowledge of other technical disciplines to ensure collaboration and coordination across service packages. Familiarity with core construction elements, sequencing, and dependencies to support integrated delivery. Basic understanding of commercial management principles to assist with budget oversight and contractual elements, including variation tracking and inter-package costs. Solid planning and scheduling expertise, with insight into construction release protocols, system dependencies, critical path activities, and commissioning timelines.
