Job Description The Indoor-Outdoor Lakeside Thermal Bathing Facility at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is designed to revolutionize wellness in the Canadian Rockies, using natural elements to guide guests on a journey of self-discovery. As the Director of Basin and Wellbeing, you will oversee the operation of The Basin, ensuring it is recognized as a premier Thermal Wellness Facility globally. Your focus will include achieving goals related to Employee Satisfaction, Guest Satisfaction, Financial Success, Health and Safety, and Environmental Stewardship. What you will be doing Reporting to the Director of Operations, your responsibilities include: Pre-Opening: oversee recruitment, create programming, develop training plans, set standards, and lead staff training. Operational: demonstrate service excellence, manage employee engagement, optimize revenue, oversee maintenance, collaborate on food and beverage offerings, participate in sustainability initiatives, ensure standards adherence, and lead strategic planning. Administrative: build vendor relationships, maintain SOPs, manage revenue, recruit and train staff, and ensure effective communication. Health & Wellness: ensure safety policies are followed, develop emergency procedures, and create wellness programs. Qualifications Minimum 5 years management experience in a Resort Spa or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism, Hotel Management, or related field is preferred. Experience in hospitality and Human Resources is advantageous. Strong desire to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Excellent communication skills. Physical requirements: standing and walking 60%, sitting 40%.
