Network Security Engineer

AMNET Technology Pte Ltd is looking for an adept IT Professional with a minimum of 3 years of networking project experience in deploying and managing networking-related projects. The candidate should have the ability to operate autonomously, troubleshoot effectively, and provide timely project updates or reports to stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment on objectives. Job Responsibilities The role involves providing network support and services that enhance overall IT operations. This includes managing core network services such as RADIUS, DNS, and DHCP to ensure robust authentication, address allocation, and domain name resolution, contributing to a streamlined and secure IT environment. Daily Duties: Server Room & Physical Devices Maintain the server room under optimal environmental conditions and ensure all physical networking devices function correctly. Network Services Management Oversee and maintain essential network services, including RADIUS, DNS, and DHCP. Ensure these services are properly configured, updated, and integrated with other network systems. Wireless Connectivity, Routing & Switching Monitor and manage wireless networks, routing, and switching devices to guarantee reliable connectivity. Perimeter Defense (Firewall) Perform first-level monitoring of firewall systems, addressing any unusual activity or potential threats promptly. Network Connectivity Maintain the client’s global network, internet, and domestic connections, proactively resolving any abnormalities. Core BCP System Ensure the operational readiness of the Core BCP system to support both on-site and remote work scenarios. Security & Patching Regularly update and patch network devices to protect against threats and address vulnerabilities highlighted by the security team. Ad hoc duties: Vendor Management Manage renewals for networking devices and services, ensuring timely maintenance and support contracts. Incident Response & Escalation Respond promptly to system outages, escalate issues when necessary, and follow up with solutions within SLAs. Documentation & Processes Assist in creating and updating IT processes and procedures for clarity and consistency. Project Work Integration Support Support network-related projects, ensuring smooth integration with existing infrastructure. Technical Expertise Contribute to work packages, activity checklists, and requirements for network implementations. Job Requirements Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferably with Network Industry Certifications (CCNA, CCNP) and Security Certifications. Experience with Cisco Core Switches, Aruba, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco EWC, and Access Points. Knowledge of Hyper-V VMs for network services, Azure IaaS, and network monitoring systems. Experience working with vendors on technology and services. Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical team members. Proactive problem-solving attitude and strong IT project coordination skills to manage customer expectations.
