Job Description

DataBase Administrator Engineer What does a DBA Engineer? You will be responsible for effective management and maintenance of databases, ensuring the hardware and equipment are functional. What You Will Do: • Capacity planning, installation, configuration, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery • Database migration • Implementing and supporting PostgreSQL database clusters with replication • Implementing and supporting Windows SQL servers and databases • Upgrade DB instances from lower versions to current versions • Set up authentication of database roles • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors • Manage database security/integrity and backup procedures • Resolve Cyber reported vulnerabilities • Work successfully in a team environment and demonstrate a willingness to help team members in achieving project goals • Personal ownership and accountability for delivering assigned tasks and deliverables within the established schedule • Report on the status and progress of work and is accountable to the timely completion with quality What You Will Need to Have: • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in database administration • Experience with Linux environment and Windows servers • Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards • Basic Unix shell scripting skills for Linux environments • Ability to interpret, troubleshoot, and resolve Windows errors • Must have good written and verbal communication skills • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
