Job Description

Responsibilities/Role(s)/Duties: Leads the planning and execution of IT Workspace infrastructure for the new battery plant. Coordinates workspace-related activities such as end-user device readiness, office and production area equipment, and IT setup for conference rooms. Manages project timelines, resource planning, risk assessments, and budget tracking. Acts as the central interface between IT, facility management, suppliers, and construction partners for all workspace-related matters. Ensures compliance with BMW Group standards for hardware deployment, IT workspace design, and equipment ergonomics. Criteria for achievement. Effective Workspace Project Execution: Delivers IT Workspace infrastructure on time and within budget, aligned with plant construction milestones. Tracks all activities related to workspace readiness including device installation, desk setups, and configuration of end-user IT equipment. Stakeholder Alignment and Communication: Maintains constant communication with internal IT teams, construction management, external vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and execution of workspace requirements. Workspace Readiness and Equipment Deployment: Guarantees that all required workstations, offices, and common areas are fully equipped and IT operational before go-live, including laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and other user-facing technology. Compliance and Standardization: Ensures all workspace implementations follow BMW Group standards, guidelines, and ergonomic policies. Collaborates with global teams to apply best practices and maintain consistency across locations. Risk and Issue Management: Identifies potential risks related to delays, procurement issues, or scope changes and applies mitigation strategies. Escalates unresolved issues and provides transparent reporting on project health. (soft skills) - Language. Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IT project management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments. Proven track record in planning and executing IT Workspace or end-user infrastructure projects. Experience working with international teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Experience coordinating third-party vendors and contractors. Specific Skills: Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting. High expectation of AWM knowledge/certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project), and project tracking tools such as JIRA or MS Project. Knowledge of IT hardware standards (laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers) and workspace requirements (ergonomics, layout, connectivity). Ability to read and interpret technical building plans and coordinate with construction or facility teams. Personal Characteristics (soft skills): Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach. High level of accountability and ownership. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment. Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
