Job Description
Role Overview: As a Maintenance Engineer , you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within our manufacturing plant. This role will require you to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize a variety of equipment to ensure efficient operations. You will also collaborate with the team to improve machinery reliability and contribute to system upgrades and process improvements. *Must have Qualification: Bilingual in English and Spanish* Key Role and Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance of production equipment. Lead design control activities and assist in the review and creation of design controls for new and existing machinery. Analyze, design, and implement solutions for equipment automation and efficiency improvements. Own, maintain, and approve all schematics related to equipment, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date documentation. Provide hands-on support for the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery and control systems. Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime. Leading and assisting in root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, recommend system improvements, and ensure equipment reliability. Provide input to capital projects and work closely with project teams to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components are properly maintained and optimized. Support the implementation of machine upgrades, including hardware and software changes, to improve overall system performance. Develop technical reports and related documentation to communicate system performance, improvements, and any ongoing issues. Assist in the creation of CAD drawings and mechanical/electrical diagrams as necessary. Promote and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Ensure compliance with internal processes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Act as the point of contact for escalating downtime situations to vendors or headquarters for support. Qualifications: Education : bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience : 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of machinery. Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and control systems. Familiarity with electrical schematics, PLC systems, and automated systems. Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment assessments. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and CAD drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations.
