IT Technical Program Specialist to lead a group of Project managers and provide the team guidance in planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring & control of technical projects including Tech Stack upgrade and product enhancement. Qualified candidate should be a seasoned project leader who applies a structured approach and in-depth working knowledge of financial/business concepts, policies, practices, processes, and procedures to the most complex range of assignments. The IT Program Specialist must possess the ability to work independently with general guidance from management. The role requires frequent, regular interaction with the senior executive management, various team and team leads as well as with customers. The person must possess exemplary planning, organization, problem analysis, project management and presentation skills. In addition, the candidate must be able to work at a detail level when needed to identify issues, risks, root causes, develop mitigation strategies and solutions, identify and track actions to closure. The candidate must be articulate with excellent communication skills, be able to communicate effectively and openly with management with potential resolutions as well as be able to articulate issues and risks in business language and/or system functionality language. The candidate must be able to manage sub-vendor and client relationships with regards to the projects under his portfolio. Skills Required • IT Project and Program management experience • Interacting with Portfolio level management • Stakeholder management • Project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, MS Project Online, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Power BI) • Direct experience with waterfall and agile project management processes and methodologies. • Analytical problem solving and decision-making skills • Advanced judgment in risk identification and mitigation • Delivers effective training, coaching, and mentoring on Project Management and Agile practices • Leadership and the ability to influence in strategic initiatives • Excellent interpersonal skills - strong verbal and written skills; ability to engage with senior business and technology leaders. Education/Qualification and Certifications: • Bachelor's degree and Minimum 10 years in management position • PMP Certification or comparable project management certification preferred • ITIL Certification preferred • Experience in delivering projects at CMMI 3 level preferred Job Roles and Responsibilities Plans, organizes, directs, controls and delivers complex initiatives prioritized in alignment with the client’s expectations and business needs. Projects may include multiple technology disciplines and/or significant business process re-engineering efforts. Manages people for programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of projects and/or programs into a finished state. Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Organizes initiative activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication ensuring completion of the program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. At times, directs the activities of project support staff, project managers, and sub-contractors and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources are allocated and maintained to facilitate the successful completion of the project. Manages and coordinates priorities between projects or within a program that requires critical thinking and complex problem solving. Leads and communicates scope, goals and responsibilities to project teams; establishes clear stakeholder expectations, and requirements of varying degrees of complexity. Develops and maintains reporting procedures and monitors performance in project and program control activities.
