Job Description

The Bid Specialist is responsible for delivering actionable insights and ETO proposals based on a variety of different data sources including primary research, 3rd party market data, internal business intelligence sources and communicating with our internal stakeholders to support top business priorities. Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: (This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.) MBR slide deck preparation Work with pricing team and ITS product management to update Vertiv’s internal and published price lists Maintain and publish Market sizing intelligence for the different LOBs through accessing global / regional intelligence as well as 3rd party data sources. Assist the ITS Leadership in annual budget creation Assist the product management with business data in inventory forecasting, class A/C categorization. Assist the leadership and product management with ad-hoc data intelligence requests. Be expert on market research data. Assist product management with intelligence data in defining actions to reduce finished goods inventory and support business decisions in case of major supply chain issues. Assist product management in their work alongside Operations and Material planning to ensure competitive lead time, inventory optimization. Administrate list pricing and multipliers across the EMEA regions. Develop tracking metrics to measure post-launch sales performance of new offerings, including pipeline, and quotation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in an applicable area or business field. Working in a matrix organisation, the individual will need to be a self-starter with great communication skills. Whether learning from other internal divisions or external partners, the individual will be curious and seek out new ways of taking our business to the next level. An experienced individual with outstanding Excel skills Comfortable working in other software applications particularly MS PowerPoint, Oracle, PowerBI An eye for detail with an interest to understand the reasoning behind the data. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary considering the volume of stakeholders and the variety of cultures. A positive and flexible team member who understands the changing nature of priorities in a fast-moving organization. Diligent in follow-up with determination to secure accurate and complete output. 5 years technical, product/service/supply-chain, strategic planning, marketing or directly related experience. Able to combine long term and short-term goals by setting priorities. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization from entry level to executive. Language skills: fluent English written, and verbal required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications
