They have a job open for Program Manager / Engineering Manager – New Product Introduction (Custom Fabrication & Welding) to be based in the London, ON- St. Mary’s -Stratford – Woodstock, ON area . Candidates must be experienced in full cycle project management of New Product Introduction of custom-built heavy machinery & equipment (Boilers, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Mining, Agricultural Equipment and similar). Custom Fabrication experience and NPI in custom fabrication is a MUST. Clear criminal check is required. Program Manager / Engineering Manager – New Product Introduction is a leadership hands -on role, will be responsible for all projects (cradle to grave), NPI (New Product Introduction) of custom-built equipment (like Boilers, Pressure Vessels etc.). You will manage engineering projects (new product launch), maintain technical specifications, engineering changes, prepare and maintain project status milestones budgets, write work instructions, resolve production issues related to quality, KPIs and ensure product complies with customer specifications, in alliance with corporate H&S and regulatory requirements. You will initiate process improvements to ensure project success, meet quality specifications, reduce waste, monitor the production process to maximize output within a welding environment. You will also work directly with external parties during audits. You will provide leadership to internal manufacturing engineering teams, ensure all welding certifications are up to date, coach and mentor. Program Manager / Engineering Manager – New Product Introduction MUST have New Product Introduction project management experience in heavy custom equipment manufacturing like heat exchangers, boilers, pressure vessels and similar (MIG welding, hard wire , Flux Core and similar), with ideally 1-2 years of people management experience, Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering with strong welding process improvement experience. Welding Inspection weld audits, Project management of NPI in welding metal custom fabrication is a MUST. P. Eng preferred.
