DevOps Engineer

About the Role We are looking for a skilled Freelance DevOps Engineer to join a leading medical company based in Brussels. The ideal candidate will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate the delivery of critical medical applications and services. Contract Details Location: Brussels, Belgium (Remote or hybrid options available) Contract Type: Freelance / Contractor Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension Rate: Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed based on experience) Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes. Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. Collaborate closely with development, QA, and compliance teams to meet stringent regulatory standards. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliable operation of medical applications. Provide technical guidance on DevOps best practices and tools. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, ideally within the healthcare or medical device sector. Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell). Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to medical software (GDPR, HIPAA a plus). Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is a plus.
