Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Mechanical Completion Coordinator Posting Date: 13 May 2025 Location: Ravenna, Italy Contract Type: Freelance Division: Level of experience: RINA is currently recruiting: Mechanical Completion Coordinator Main responsibilities: Mechanical systems (Machinery, Vessels, Tanks, Mixers, Heat Exchangers, Fired heaters, etc., Saddles and Supports) and relevant Piping systems (Piping, Valves/Actuators, Supports). Mechanical connections (Flanged, Clamped, Threaded), including selection of the best technical/economical solutions for materials and installation. Temporary and commissioning connections/blinding. Painting, corrosion protection/insulation, cathodic protection, scaffolding. KEY ACTIVITIES Supervision of installation of mechanical systems (Machinery, Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Piping, Valves, etc.) and Piping systems (Piping, Valves/Actuators, Supports) in compliance with international standards, company specifications, and best practices. Managing all documentation from selection and adoption to installation and as-built. Mechanical completion activities, ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of system installation, traceability of connections, welding quality (X-rays), and material integrity. Supporting the selection of design documents, construction, and as-built documentation. Assisting in pre-commissioning and commissioning, including the selection and sizing of Sub-Systems for commissioning and mechanical completion. Application and restoration of painting cycles, corrosion protection, insulation installation and removal for commissioning, cathodic protection installation, and scaffolding design, installation, and removal. Supporting inspections according to Inspection Data Sheets instructions, if applicable. MINIMUM and MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. At least eight (8) years of work experience after earning the university degree. Ability to manage workforce and interact with construction contractor representatives.
