Social network you want to login/join with: Our client is the Italian subsidiary of a Japanese multinational group, specialized in air conditioning business. The Italian plant have 430 employees and a turnover of over 230 million euros. For the Purchasing team, composed of eight members, we are looking for a COMMODITY BUYER. Main responsabilities: Develop the purchasing budget for the assigned commodities, defining the procurement strategy; Scout and select new suppliers while maintaining ongoing relationships with existing ones; Define and manage contracts governing supplier activities, including updating purchasing price lists; Conduct negotiations with suppliers, establishing purchasing conditions and promoting cost-reduction initiatives; Provide cost analysis for new products and select the most suitable suppliers based on project specifications; Support and collaborate with various company departments during new product development or when solving business-related issues. Requirements: Educational background in a technical or economic field; 2–6 years of experience in the purchasing department of metalworking manufacturing companies; Good knowledge of the English language; Willingness to travel locally for day trips to visit nearby suppliers. Proactivity and experience managing relationships and negotiations with suppliers; Strong problem-solving skills; Excellent organizational and teamwork abilities; Market awareness and sensitivity to industry trends.
