Job Description: Import-Export Supervisor Solventum Purification & Filtration business We are pleased to announce that Solventum has entered into a definitive agreement to sell our Purification & Filtration business to Thermo Fisher Scientific. This transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, receipt of regulatory approvals, and country specific information and consultation needs where required. This is a significant milestone for the P&F business and will allow for the strategic investment and resources needed for sustaining growth and delivering customer solutions. The impact you will have in this role: The Import-Export Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all import and export operations of a company. This includes managing documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and optimizing shipment schedules and costs. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of international trade laws, shipping procedures, and customs regulations. Key Responsibilities: Import/Export Operations: Oversee international shipments and documentation to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to customs regulations, trade laws, and internal policies. Stay updated on regulatory changes. External Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and authorities to resolve delays and maintain supply flow. Team Supervision: Train and oversee import/export staff. Drive improvements in customs processes and ensure team alignment with updated regulations. Cost Management: Monitor logistics expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain audit-ready records and prepare reports on logistics performance and costs. OS&D Support (Overages, Shortages & Damages): Lead issue resolution and implement corrective actions to reduce discrepancies. ERP & Customs Systems: Act as a key user of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and customs platforms (e.g., VUCEM, Annex 24/31). Audits & Evaluations: Conduct monthly evaluations of customs brokers in Mexico and monitor corporate customs KPIs. Trade Compliance: Support trade compliance initiatives and regulatory reporting for international operations. Your Skills and Expertise : Bachelor’s degree in International Business, International Relations, or a related field. 3–5 years in import/export logistics and customs management. Knowledge of customs and tax laws, tariff classification, customs audits, and advanced Excel/data analysis. Advanced English Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include : Mastery of customs clearance procedures, tariff classification and documentary requirements. Familiarity with customs inspection processes and tax audits. Experience managing projects across various supply chain and operations functions. Data oriented with experience analyzing large data sets using Excel and other data querying tools. Thrives within independent and teamwork environments with the ability to drive change. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Be a result driven and execution focused individual. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal / communication skills. Ability to work across multiple functional groups and at various levels. Workplace: Hybrid – On-site presence required at least 3 days per week in plant Guadalupe. Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
