Job Description

Reports to: Project Manager 1. JOB SUMMARY AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Site Coordinator will be responsible for carrying out the project office review and approval of the project installation and site work, as well as the sign off and on-site hand over of projects. Furthermore, the Site Coordinator will ensure that the final product / outcome observes the companys quality standards, detect and resolve problems and monitor and control the delivery of satisfactory outcomes. Should any defects be found, its up to the Site Coordinator to apply corrective actions. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Coordinator will also be responsible for supervising building and other projects. 1.1. This function includes but is not limited to: 1.1.1. Working with the project office in planning project requirements, bill of materials, quantities and resource requirement 1.1.2. Carrying out regular project site visits to report to the project office on the following: 1.1.2.1. Project progress and status 1.1.2.2. Stock delivery inspections and checks 1.1.2.3. Quality and acceptance of work completed 1.1.2.4. Customer feedback, complaints or concerns 1.1.2.5. Adherence to project deadline and time table and completion date 1.1.3. Interact with on-site installation teams, subcontractors or vendors and ensure proper understanding of scope of work and project timelines and deliverables 1.1.4. Attending and supervision of the installation of products and equipment in compliance with customer requirements and company's Standards 1.1.5. Constantly noting and identifying installation deficiencies, to create a training requirement agenda (needs) for installers, technicians and sub-contractors 1.1.6. Carrying out completion checklists and procedures on projects 1.1.7 Assisting project office and installation teams with ad-hoc tasks as may be required 1.1.8 Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues 1.1.9 Prepare weekly progress reports on site activities and overall status 1.1.10 Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors on site, ensuring appliance of common operational procedures 1.1.11 Ensure all work is completed to programme and schedule 1.1.12 Liaise with the Project Manager regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions 1.1.13 Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements 1.1.14 Create and maintain good relations with clients, and all internal and external stakeholders MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Matric Certificate and/or any other relevant installation and project controlling experience Site installation and team management experience Valid drivers license Computer working skills in Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements SKILLS & REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management Strong client-facing and teamwork skills Critical thinking and problem solving Conflict resolution, decision-making and leadership capabilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail Problem analysis and problem solving Effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders Planning and organizing REQUIRED PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Attention to detail and meticulous Ability to prioritise Sense of urgency and time management Self-driven and ability to work independently as well as part of a team Flexibility to manage more than one task at any given time Organised and systematic Ability and willingness to travel
