Professional Civil Engineer/Technologist

Our client in the Engineering Industry is looking for Civil Engineer or Technologist to join their team in Mpumalanga, Mbombela. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification recognised by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Current registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with ECSA (mandatory). Minimum of 5 years of post-registration experience in the design of building structures. Proven track record in structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, or institutional buildings. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Prokon, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of South African building codes, standards (SANS), and regulations. Experience in project management and client liaison is an advantage. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and review detailed structural designs for building projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional structures. Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports in compliance with South African National Standards (SANS) and other relevant regulations. Conduct structural analysis and ensure designs meet safety, durability, and sustainability requirements. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Perform site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction phases. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery. Mentor junior engineers and technologists, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Ensure compliance with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) standards and maintain professional registration requirements. Contribute to business development by supporting proposal preparation and client presentations.
