Job Description

Key Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions in accounting software. Process supplier invoices, customer invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders. Maintain an accurate general ledger. Perform bank, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations. Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns. Process employee wages and liaise with payroll department. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports. Reconcile inter-company transactions and assist with audits. Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding outstanding payments, queries, and accounts. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Minimum Requirements Diploma or certificate in Bookkeeping, Finance or Accounting. 3 years of bookkeeping experience (preferably in construction, logistics, or engineering industries). Strong knowledge of accounting principles and legislation. Proficiency in Sage Pastel, Xero, or similar accounting software. Advanced computer skills (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook). High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Own transport and valid drivers license (preferred, not essential). Working Conditions Based at the Johannesburg office, Monday to Friday. May occasionally be required to liaise with other branches or support year-end audits. Collaborative and supportive finance and operations team.
